Une plantation d’amandiers, établie selon le système ZaragoZa® et réalisée entre janvier et février 2024, se présente en juillet 2025 (moment de la réalisation de la vidéo) avec deux cycles végétatifs complets. Au cours de ces deux cycles, les arbres ont déjà bénéficié de deux à trois interventions de topping et de deux opérations d’edging, essentielles pour structurer la forme en buisson et stimuler le développement des ramifications latérales. Après une croissance homogène de la frondaison, on intervient désormais avec une phase clé : la taille « de régulation ». L’opération est légère et concerne exclusivement les extrémités des pousses, avec des coupes de quelques centimètres. Une intervention apparemment simple, mais aux effets physiologiques déterminants. In Raffadali, in the province of Agrigento, within a traditionally structured olive grove, a technical intervention has been initiated that represents a key step toward a more modern and efficient production model. The existing trees, characterized by excessive height, substantial woody structure, and management difficulties, were initially maintained in production through “soft pruning” interventions. This approach proved useful in the short term but was not a definitive solution. At the same time, a decisive strategy was introduced: increasing planting density by inserting new trees among the existing ones. This approach has made it possible to avoid production downtime while immediately initiating the renewal process.
